Here’s something new: The Roomie Awards! I thought it would be fun to not just do a recap of the past year’s films, but to hand out some virtual trophies for what in my opinion are some of the best movies of the year, or in the case of the Moldy Onion Award, the worst. Not all of these winners have reviews, but where there are reviews, there are links.

I hope to hold these awards every year, and ideally, depending on audience enthusiasm, poll you all for nominees and winners, sort of like a March Madness bracket. That could be fun, right? And I’m open to suggestions if anyone has ideas for the trophy design.

Like any awards show, tickets are needed to gain entrance, and just to dangle the proverbial carrot a bit, here’s a wee preview. As for the rest, of course, well, you know what to do. ;-)
