The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar (2023)
Henry Sugar is forty-one, single, self-absorbed, bored, and filthy rich. Then he finds a book in a library and it changes his life. He wants us to come along, with Roald Dahl as our host, steadily recounting the tale from his cozy chair in his writer’s hut. He sharpens one of his American pencils, lays it down, and starts to talk. His chair is too confining, though, so he soon rises and begins to walk.
Just don’t blink. Or breathe. Well, not much beyond the involuntary, anyway.
