"The Bishop's Wife" vs. "The Preacher's Wife": Which Movie Is Better?

Ever see The Preacher’s Wife? How about its predecessor, The Bishop’s Wife? Since Archie has just premiered on BritBox, I thought it would be fun to revisit the 1947 movie. While it makes a few missteps, it’s a graceful, gentle film that is at once very Christmas-centered and universal. It also invites the inevitable comparisons to the remake.
