Starting 2024 Off Right: Referrals, Group Subs and Repertory Screenings
Happy New Year! Hard to believe it’s 2024, right? I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays, which have no doubt flown by. Who else is up for another week of vacay? I know I am.
Oh, wait. I do have another week of vacay. Heh. I’m not bragging. Much. Anyway…
Since none of us have the luxury of infinite holidays, I have something else that’s nice, if I do say so myself, and that is the unveiling of two new features: Referrals and Group Subscriptions.
What are those all about? Well, Referrals are an option Substack writers have to incentivize subscriber perks, and it’s not so much “Pay To Play” as it is “Join the Party,” with different tiers based on the number of referrals a subscriber makes. How to participate

Awesome Repertory Screenings In 2024
Also this year, and this is huge if anyone’s a classic film lover or a film lover in general, there are repertory screenings galore ahead. It’s no shock, because Hollywood’s output is set to be pretty meager this year due to the writer’s and SAG-AFTRA strikes, and Fathom Events, who’s hosting these screenings along with Cinemark, has picked some good ones.
