First Love, First Dates, and Lots of Backstory

(Season 1, Episodes 5-8)

The next four episodes of Gilmore Girls’ Season One is about looking back and looking forward, as Rory has a birthday, gets kissed, and starts her relationship with Dean, Lorelai starts a new relationship with Max, and the characters reminisce about what life was like before Rory came along.

Meanwhile, poor Laine finds herself to be the proverbial third wheel and ends up hiding out at the Gilmore house listening to The Cure after running her fingers through her crush’s hair.

Each episode opens up more questions than answers about these characters, which only make them all the more intriguing. Here we go…
